Quite Weekend

This weekend was a good weekend. David and I just hung out together. We went for a walk, watched the movie "Old Dogs", I baked him goodies. Made my first beef stew since my high school days. David worked on his car. It was quite and nice. I am looking forward to Easter since we are just going to spend it here with each other. No traveling for at least a couple of weeks. And enjoy conference without worrying about traveling or work. It will be a good start to April :D

And then today which is Monday, David went to school and I went to the Orthodontists said everything is moving just the way it is suppose to :D only 18 more months of metal mouth.

Anyways have I told you guys lately how much I love my husband, well I sure do love my husband. He is GREAT, he always knows how to make my day. The other day I woke up to a really cute message write on the bathroom mirror. it was a picture of an eye and then a computer with (hint) beside it. So I went to a my computer and this is what I found inside of it :D



Ilove my husband and I am glad he is mine for all time and eternity. I wouldn't have it any other way :D Can't believe it has been just over 10 months, and I know it will be many more months and years to come :D

March

March has been the best month of the year so far. On Thursday March 4, 2010 I was able to spend 6 hours with my sister and her oldest Kynna, it was so much fun. We went for lunch, shopping, and were just able to have a good time. I was sad that I didn't get to spend any more time then I did with them. But 6 hours is better then no hours :D



I then had the opportunity to spend 10 days with the rest of my family creating good memories and always enjoying the shopping. I even got to have a sleep over in the hotel with my youngest nephew, it was so much fun, we went swimming in the hotel swimming pool until 11 pm :D the next day I got him all dress and ready for church, he looks so cute with his little fohawk! I wish my parents could have stayed longer then 4 days, but I was sure glad to see them. David didn't drive up until late Thursday night(March 11, 2010.) The next day David had the opportunity to go shooting with the guys up in the Logan, UT canyon. And I spent the time playing with the kids. All my of nieces and nephews have grown up so fast, I can't believe how fast they are growing. Well in Logan, David and I were able to get family photos done, I got a new pair of shoes to go with the family photos, you will just have to wait to see what they look like:D They are pretty sweet though. The theme for the photos were red, white, and blue... Good thing Canadian colours are white and red :D After photos the Roeckers took us out for dinner (March 12, 2010). The next day David and I went shopping for thing for the house, like picture of the temple, the presidency, Jesus Christ, and Joseph Smith. After shopping we went back to Jake's parents house had dinner and helped clean up around the house. Sunday March 14, 2010 we made our way back down south to David's sisters house arriving at 8 pm, next morning woke up early to hit down town Salt Lake City. We went to temple square and just did some touristy stuff. here is us at the conference centre.



On Monday night after dinner we made our way back home to Arizona. It was nice to come home to a semi- clean house, when we got home we even got David's tools and tool boxes out of our house, I now have a living room again. Other then the stuff that is all over it from unpacking and sorting all the kids cloths my sisters gave me for when, or if we ever have children.

There is just something about hanging out with my side of the family even without my husband that I just can't explain. I just love my family so much, and I miss them all the time, I am pretty sure everyone that reads this blog can understand were I am coming from. You just have this special bond and love at least I do with my family.

I am sorry if I offend anyone of my in-law side of the family when I say that. I'm sorry if I make you feel like you don't matter, you do matter. We are all children of our Loving Heavenly Father and Mother and we just have to remember we are part of a bigger family. I have not meet a lot of my parents-in-laws his, mine, and our family and I am sorry for that!!! Maybe one day I will. I'm sorry I don't show the same kind of love I do for my side of the family, we have always been a close nit family and I just miss them so much. I'm sorry yet again for offending you, I guess I am just a really bad daughter-in-law. I can never seem to do anything right, and I am sorry!!

One week down only a week and a half to go!!!

I found out that I do get to see my Sister Kimmie, I am very excited she is taking the time out of her busy schedule to see her baby sister, even if it is for 6 hours, 6 hours is better then NO hours. Then my Mom and Dad will pick me up in Great Falls, MT and we will head South to Utah to visit my other Sister Chrissy and her family!!! The first two weeks in MARCH are going to ROCK!!!!



Any ways this weekend David and I had the opportunity to go to the drag races again this year at the Firebird International Raceways. It was lots of fun. Well we were there David got to "drive" his first motorcycle, which happened to be a Harley, He got to go in Army helicopter simulator, and we got to watch fast cars:D I am glad I decided to go I almost did not go, it was a rough week with not feeling well. David would like me to go to the Doctors but I do not enjoy going to doctors, so I am not going to go.





We were able to go to the Mesa Temple as well, we have been wanting to go for a while and really have not had the time, so we made the time to go. It was so nice to leave the care of the world for a couple of hours. Question were Answered, maybe not the way we thought they would be but the Lord works in wondrous ways. Talking about Temples this very nice older lady our ward on Thursday, which happened to not be a very good day gave me a very cool old plate. She told me one of her neighbours many years ago gave it to her when they had made a trip up to Canada. And she told me she really had no use for it so she was wondering if I would like it, so I got this really cool old plate for the Alberta Temple.



After the temple we went to our favourite place to eat, Red Robin mmmmm bottomless steak fries :D Then we found out we did not need to be back Home by 8 so we went to a Movie, we went and saw the Toothfairy, it was really cute. Then drove home, in the pouring rain.

Then today I made Cookies David's favourite Chocolate Chip. Now I am just waiting for David to return home from School, so I can cuddle my very handsome Husband which I happened to love so very much :D He is the greatest Husband ever!!!! I might be a little bias on that one :D

Just another week.

Nothing really exciting happened this week!! David worked and I sewed! I started another quilt topper, will most likely be done the whole quilt by the end of this week.

For Valentines we really didn't do much, Saturday is when we planned on having it and David decided to go to the Valley with a friend and I stayed home and sewed. He left the house at 8 am and He got home at about 7:30pm we had dinner and watched a movie, and he bought me a dehydrator for vday. On Sunday we went to a friends house for a pot luck dinner, David and I were the only ones that showed up for it, it was still nice to chat with them.

I also found out I might get to see my sister Kimmie after all, I am really excited about this :D I really can not wait to see family, I miss them so much!! I can't wait for the day I move closer to them, but that day will not be able to come fast enough.

On a side note got my elastics changed on my teeth (they are really sore), got them to match the colours for family photos that we are getting done when we are in Utah in March, can not wait the days will not go by fast enough. I MISS AND LOVE MY FAMILY :(

Can't wait for March!!!!

So I was excited to hear that David said we can go to Utah for Spring break :D Jake my brother-in-law his parents are moving to Utah so they are going there to help with the unpacking of their things. I have been waiting to hear if my parents were going to meet them in Utah or not!!! But guess what they are, so I get to see my FAMILY!!!! minus kimmie again. Gosh girl you need to come visit us, or you know go to utah with mom and dad :D

Anyways with mom and dad coming down to utah, I get more of my things, yippie :D I am so excited and I get peanut butter, yeah Kraft Peanut butter the only peanut butter in the world... And did I mention I get to see my MOM and DAD !!!!! I dislike living this far away from my Family :( I only get to see them for 4 days but guess what 4 days is better then NO days!

I have been having a hard couple of weeks with being homesick, so I am really looking forward to this. I have always been close to my family and I miss them so much, Family means so much to me, I really don't know who or where I would be without them. Kimmie I miss you a lot I can't wait to see you guys again either.

Anyways enough of me being emotional, I finished my second quilt today!! I was so excited to get my walking foot in the mail the other day I couldn't wait to use it, it is not the best looking but it doesn't look bad either :) I am excited to start more and finish even more. I have even ask my mom to bring down her quilting loom so I can challenge myself in hang quilting. And finish one of the quilts for my sister that she started when my niece was a baby. She is not 8, lol. Maybe one of her children might actually use it. I know i posted a picture of the quilt on face book but here it is again.



I will even post something on here before I post it on facebook. I told my mom I would upload a photo of the dress I made a couple of weeks ago, I was bored one day and I needed something to do, so I made a dress I didn't have a pattern so I made it up in my head, it didn't turn out to bad it of course could be better but that is what next time is for :D

Anyways I am just so excited for March, I get to see my family, ahhhhh!!!! I thought the next time i would see them would be at the end of this year, but prayers are answered. It is next months. I can't wait to give my mommy and daddy and sister and her kids a hug :D There is nothing better then family.

Pet Peeve

There is one Pet peeve that drives me CRAZY, and everyone in the states seems to not have this pet peeve other then me!!!! It is taking off your shoes when you come in to someone house. I do not enjoy cleaning, and if there is a solution to help keep something clean I will try to do it. Like take shoes off at front door, and don't walk around my house with your muddy shoes!!! It has been worse since it has been raining here, and since our parking area is dirt, this helps creates more dirt to track in to my house. GRRRRR. I guess growing up in Canada it was just habit to take off your shoes when you entered someone house, since 5 months out of the year they were winter boots, or muddy snow covered shoes. I don't enjoy wearing shoes around my house either but I have started to because I really don't enjoy having a rock stab my foot in the morning or dirty stick to it either. I guess I should be happy that I don't have light coloured carpet.

Tribute To My Three Best Friends

Over the last couple of days I have had the opportunity to talk to my three best friends. And it got me thinking about how much they mean to me, or the years!

My First friend has been by far the longest friendship I have ever had!!! We met when we were six We are on 18 years for friendship!! WOW!! She moved in across the street from me, her next door neighbour had a big dog and he introduced us to each other, I remember asking her if she wanted a popsicle, Random I know. We were inseparable for a long time. I was so sad when we found out she wouldn't be going to school with me when I was younger too :( She was in the catholic school division and I was in the public school division. Right after school we would call each other and ask if the other could play. When we started it get older we thought we couldn't use the word play, it would be hang out!!! We would play from right after school till 5 her dinner time and then 8 her bed time. Summer were the best We would play from 8am till lunch, then just after lunch till 5pm dinner time, and then after dinner till 9ish, or all night if had a sleep over. We played Lego most of the time, but other times we played barbies or jumped on the tramp, but most of the time it would be Legos. I think we had the best childhood ever :D We even worked at taco time together in high school, and then in our secondary education we worked at little ceasars together.

As we grow up and started to go to middle school we grow apart a little, and more in to high school. But we were always best friends and we both knew it. This best Friend name is Nicole, she has been the bestest of best friends. She was always there for me even when I feel like I was not there for her. She loves soccer and always has, she always had soccer around my birthday time so she was never really there for them, and it also happens to be her dad's birthday as well. But I remember the first time she was able to come to one of my birthday parties, I was so excited about it, I wrote it down in my journal. it was my 14 birthday I believe. She has also always worked hard for what she has and I love that trait about her. I could go on and on about her, she has been in my life for a few years now and i would not have traded her for anyone. Nicole thanks for been my first best friend Even when I feel like I wasn't a very good one to you :D I love you and miss you Nicole!!!



My second best friend we met through her brother, she really didn't like me at first and then she finally warmed up to me :D We met the summer before our first year or college. It didn't even happen to be in Lethbridge where we both live, it happened to be in Calgary at the Calgary Stampede and then we didn't hang out until August 12 when we happened to go up to Beaver mines to go quading and watch the meteor showers. She was mad we come up, lol!!! Then she got in to a car wreak and didn't have a car any more!!! So she couldn't go hang out with her other side of town friends any more since they didn't have vehicles either :D So she had to get to know ME :D And then the story blossomed from there. We have been to Arizona, Mexico, Disneyland, and Utah all which were fun times. come to think of it she has been there for a lot of my first time things like Calgary stampede, quading, Arizona, Mexico, Disneyland, and thunder in the valley, and summer sale in the summer of 2008 in Chandler Arizona, and I am sure there are many others. This best friends name is Kaila. She taught me that if you want something bad enough you will do anything to get it, like go to school even though you really didn't want to but it was the only way so she could work for her parents!!! She hated it but she did it so she could work at the place she loves to work at :D I love you and miss you too Kaila.



Okay my third best frient happen to take me away from my other two best friends. I met him during the summer of 2008 in Chandler Arizona well Kaila and I were doing summer sales there. It really was not love at first site, the first thing I thought about him when I met him was I couldn't date him and he though wow she is crazy. I had just come home from a week long trip to Tennessee at the end of may 2008 with my sister and mom, and wow excited to be back but sad i had to leave them. I was excited to tell Kaila and everyone about my trip. He had moved into the guys apartment when I was gone to Tennessee. I then started to get to know him when we would go to Queen Creek to sell, we sold Pest Control. We started to spend more and more time together. At this time I really wasn't doing well in sale and started to get really homesick. I guess you could say he was my knight in shining armor. He really was and is the best thing that could have happened to me. So we met may 23, 2008 the day I got home from tennesse. We started dating June 13, 2008. In the first week of dating I knew this was the man I was going to marry I feel for him so fast, he was GREAT. But I started to suck at selling and really didn't want to be there anymore, so I had prayed and fasted and felt like i needed to go home a week after we started to date. So we talked about what we were going to do. We decided we would see were it would go. He decided he would come up to Utah with me to meet some of my family this was the end of June. During this time he had gone with my sister to pick out rings, I didn't know he was getting a ring. July 1, 2008 (Canada Day) he asked me to marry him :D It was great. and then he left to go back to Arizona on July 3, 2008 and me back to Canada. We were apart of just under 11 months of our engagement, me in Canada and him in Arizona!!! But it was the best thing for us. WE got married on May 13, 2009 in Bountiful Utah. This best friends name in David, Which also happens to be my eternal companion now :D Even though he has taken we away from my other two best friends I love him very much and always will.



I am grateful for my Three best friends who have been there through different times of my life, and I know they will continue to be there through many other part of my life!!! I HAVE THE GREAT BEST FRIENDS IN THE WORLD. I love you all very much and miss two of you a lot....
